The Financial Empowerment Initiative (FEI)
Welcome to The Financial Empowerment Initiative (FEI), formerly known as LCCMedia Foundation. We believe in building a financially inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to achieve economic stability and success.
The FEI is a B3 organisation -Black led , Black serving and Black focussed organization.
The FEI provides programming that is targeted and focused on creating knowledge and wealth generation for all members of the Black community.
We interact on an ongoing basis with Black serving community associations, black coalitions and collectives to provide our current programming on financial literacy, mentorship for black business owners and community organization leaders.
Our Core Values

We are compelled to seek knowledge through books, mentorship and interactions with established people in the field.
Creativity:
We love to create content with people in spaces around the world.
Helping Communities
We aim to help low-income families, widows, youths, and seniors. The core of what we do is helping communities.
Creating Positive Change
Whether it is through our magazines, art classes or literacy classes, our work is centred on creating positive changes.
Building relationships
When help comes, it usually comes through human beings in the form of relationships. The core of our work is building relationships in the communities and spaces where we work.
Our mission
Our mission at the FEI is to provide the necessary information and knowledge base to accomplish the following:
- Lay the right financial foundation
- Access the right resources.
- Tear down old the old mindsets and build new thought processes
- Create generational wealth
We do these through our comprehensive, targeted and culturally appropriate financial literacy sessions and tax clinic offered free of charge to the community.

We follow a clear code of conduct, making sure that every decision we make respects people’s rights and contributions. Our team is dedicated to maintaining these high standards and ensuring our actions reflect our commitment to ethical behavior.
We also believe in constantly improving. We regularly look at our policies and practices to make sure they’re up-to-date and effective. Our goal is to build and keep trust with the community and our partners, making sure our work truly empowers and benefits the people we serve.
In everything we do, we’re focused on doing what’s right and making a positive impact. Our promise is to stay true to these values and continue working towards the betterment of our community.
