LCCMedia Foundation closed on April 28th, 2022.
They were able to file hundreds of tax returns and they helped low-income community members. Some members needed multiple years of income filed. Some members also needed referrals to services.
The clinic was funded by the Edmonton Community Foundation and Africa Centre provided the base for the
The Foundation CEO Tayo Elnathan hopes that ” they would be able to offer the same service in Edmonton and possibly Calgary in the coming year.”
Elnathan further added that: ” she believes the Tax Clinic shows there is a gap in what obtains currently and the Foundation was happy to fill the gap.”
The Foundation is hoping to take what they learnt from the tax clinic into their upcoming projects.
