The Somali Canadian Society of Calgary, in collaboration with The Financial Empowerment Initiative, Africa Centre, and other partners, is offering a FREE Tax Clinic to assist eligible individuals with their tax filings.

Who can benefit?
This clinic is designed to help low-income individuals and families file their taxes with ease.
✅ What to bring:
- Government-issued ID
- SIN number
- Banking information for direct deposit
- Relevant tax slips: T4, T4E, T5, T5007, T4A, T4A(P), T4A(OAS), Pension, T2202A (Tuition)
- Receipts for charitable donations, medical/dental expenses, child care, and RRSP contributions
📌 Who qualifies?
- Individuals earning up to $35,000
- Families earning up to $52,500 (plus $3,000 per additional dependent)
🚫 We do not prepare:
- Self-employed tax returns
- Rental income
- Farming and fishing income
- Bankruptcies
- Taxes for deceased persons
- Tax returns with interest exceeding $1,000
