At the Financial Empowerment Initiative, we know that not everyone can attend an in-person tax clinic. That is why our virtual tax filing service continues to be one of the ways we support individuals and families who need flexible and accessible options.
Booking a virtual appointment is simple. Community members can email taxes@thefei.ca to request an appointment, and a member of our team will follow up to schedule a convenient time.
Behind this service is a dedicated team of volunteer tax preparers who give their time and expertise each tax season. Their commitment is truly the backbone of this program. Because of their efforts, we have been able to support not only people in Edmonton and Calgary, but individuals and families across Alberta. This year, through a partnership with a community organization in Ontario, we were also able to extend our support beyond the province.
We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers who continue to show what community looks like in action. Their generosity allows us to ensure that more people can access free, reliable tax filing support, no matter where they are located.
