The Financial Empowerment Initiative is pleased to offer our annual free tax clinic to support individuals and families with modest incomes. Our goal is simple: to make sure members of our community can file their taxes on time and access the benefits and credits they are entitled to.
Our tax clinic runs from March 5 to April 30, 2026, with both in-person and virtual options available to make the service as accessible as possible.

Who We Can Help
We prepare simple tax returns for individuals and families with modest incomes:

| Each additional person | Add $3,000 |

To help us complete your tax return efficiently, please bring:
Identification and Information
- Government-issued ID
- SIN number
- Bank information for direct deposit
Tax Slips
- T4, T4E, T5, T5007
- T4A, T4A(P), T4A(OAS)
- Pension slips (T2202A)
- Tuition slips
Receipts (if applicable)
- Charitable donations
- Medical and dental expenses
- Child care expenses
- RRSP contributions
Returns We Do Not Prepare
Our clinic focuses on simple tax returns. Unfortunately, we are unable to prepare returns that include:
- Self-employment income
- Rental income
- Farming or fishing income
- Bankruptcies
- Returns for deceased persons
- Interest income over $1,000
- Complex returns requiring a professional accountant
