Lit Seniors Initiative

The Lit Seniors Initiative promotes social inclusion, mental health, healthy ageing and volunteerism in seniors from 55 plus. Our vision is to raise awareness on issues confronting our elders especially now during the pandemic.

Our focus is on elderly ethnic men and women. In 2021, the Foundation received funding from New Horizons for Seniors program to provide painting sessions, engage seniors about their experiences during the pandemic and and to create a magazine for seniors. We hope you find the work we do here informative.

Remembering the Fallen | Lorrie Morales

When I was teaching Middle School years ago, I was always astonished at the solemness and quiet reflection of students as they sat in their seats during our assembly for Remembrance Day.
